Athletes from the Halesowen Athletic and Cycling Club were clocking up the miles in action across the country.
Alton Towers was the location of the finale of the Cross Country season, hosting the national championship.
The course proved to be a test of cross country running, with the big hill at the far end of the course creating a great spectacle for the thousands of spectators around the course cheering the athletes on.
Harvey Brown sprinted up the hill to finish 11th and earn a top ten place for the U13 boys team, with support from Joe Somers Tom Rankin, Alex Wyer and Nick Jennings.
In the U13 girls Nicole Bailey was 31st and Annie Robertson 150.
Liam Taylor and Robert Spencer ran well in the U15 boys.
The U15 girls were led home by Emily Monk, in her first cross country season finishing 37th, Jade Burke was 75th and the close packing of Jourdanna Beresford Smith, Megan Evans and Emily Davies secured a ninth place for the team.
Bethany Young was 99th in the U17 girls and county champion Christian Booker was 46th in the Junior Men's race.
Brothers Bill and Andy Nock started and finished the senior men's scoring team with close support from men's captain Nick Hazelwood, Andrew Carruthers, Kevin Monk and Nick Price Sally Spencer was first back for the senior ladies in 296th with Nina Jowett (305) only 13 seconds adrift over the five-mile course, Kirsty Morgan and Ladies Captain Sonia Michael completed the team.
Closer to home, the club was well represented in the Action Heart five-metre run, raising money for the Russell's Hall based charity. Pam Edwards, of Halesowen, said: "It is a great event for a good cause and we thought we would bring a bit of fun to it by wearing these ears as well because we call ourselves the Hare's, Halesowen Athletic Resolution Experience." Andy Butler's marathon training continues to go well with a seventh place. Rob Weaver maintained his first place in the club's Grand Prix championships with a good performance, finishing in 49th place.
