DUDLEY borough residents are reminded of the civic amenity site opening times over the Easter period.

The site in Birmingham Street, Stourbridge will be closed on Good Friday (March 21) and will re-open on Saturday March 22 and Easter Sunday from 8am to 4.30pm.

The site will then be closed on Easter Monday before re-opening from Tuesday March 25 to its usual opening hours of 8am to 6pm.

Residents are also reminded to avoid using the facility on Thursday March 20 from 2pm if possible. Works will be taking place at the site from 2pm to 6pm as part of a planned improvement programme at the facility.

Councillor Karen Shakespeare, cabinet member for the environment, said: "The civic amenity site will be open for use on the Saturday and the Sunday over Easter and return to normal opening hours from Tuesday March 25.

"We would like to remind people of the work taking place from 2pm on the Thursday before Easter. "We expect any inconvenience to be minimal while this essential work is being carried out at the site."
