Jailed for attack on police officer

A 35 YEAR OLD Wren's Nest man has been jailed for assaulting a female police officer by Dudley Magistrates.

Patrick Thomas Rogers, of Greenwood Cottages was sent to prison for 16 weeks for assaulting the officer.

The defendant was also jailed for four weeks on April 25, to run concurrent with the above, for damaging an in car radio belonging to West Midlands Police.

Also in court on April 25: Robert Wassell, aged 36, of Birds Meadow, Brierley Hill, was fined £50 and ordered to pay £43 court costs, for driving a vehicle he was not licensed to drive.

The defendant was also handed six licence penalty points and fined £150 for driving without insurance on Two Woods Lane.

He was also fined £75 and ordered to pay £15 compensation for driving without a valid test certificate.

Bobby John Holmes, aged 18, of Tudor Vale, Upper Gornal, was handed a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £150 compensation and £87 court costs for assault.

Mark Austin Rigg, aged 18, of Ivy Road, Dudley, was handed a 12 month supervised community order as well as ordered to pay £87 court costs for using a car which the defendant knew was taken without the consent of the owner.

Anthony James Burns, aged 42, of North Street, Dudley, was handed a 12 month conditional discharge as well as ordered to pay £87 court costs for stealing meat worth £55.36 from Asda.

Christopher Raymond Montroy, aged 29, of Wellington Road, Dudley, was handed a 24 month conditional discharge, ordered to pay £100 compensation and £45 court costs for trespassing at Grange House, Parkway Road, with intent to steal.

The defendant was also handed a 24 month conditional discharge for stealing a quantity of lead flashing belonging to Dudley Council.

Joanna Schirinzi, aged 23, of Vale Street, Dudley, was handed a 18 month supervised community order and ordered to pay £87 court costs for stealing £10.

Daniel Paul Moore, aged 26, of Wilson Road, Brockmoor, was handed an 18 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £87 court costs for possessing heroin.

April 21: David Lee Smallwood, aged 19, of Chapel Street, Brierley Hill, was handed a 12 month supervised community order and ordered to complete 40 hours unpaid work, to pay £55 compensation and £43 court costs for damaging a mobility scooter.

Darren Robert Best, aged 19, of Beach Green, Dudley, was fined £130, ordered to pay £15 compensation and £67 court costs for driving without due care and attention on Milking Bank.

The defendant was also disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £130 for driving over the legal alcohol limit.

Matthew Nock, aged 26, of Boundary Hill, Lower Gornal, was fined £60 and ordered to pay £15 compensation and £67 court costs for being drunk and disorderly in the Bull Ring, Sedgley.

April 23: Kelly Marie Harper, aged 25, of Valley Road, Upper Gornal, was handed a 12 month supervised community order and ordered to pay £67 court costs for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour against staff at Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Lee Andrew Buchan, aged 28, of Osprey Drive, Dudley, was jailed for 16 weeks for stealing two console games worth £79.98 from GAME station.

Paul Lovell, aged 46, of Brownswall Road, Sedgley, was fined £60, ordered to pay £15 compensation and £250 court costs for causing an unnecessary obstruction in Woodbank Road with a car.

April 24: Sukvinder Singh Timana, aged 41, of New Birmingham Road, Dudley, was fined £100, ordered to pay £15 compensation and £67 court costs for being drunk and disorderly in High Street, Dudley.
