A DUDLEY school has raised over £800 for a Clent based children's home, by holding a fun week, packed full of fundraising activities.
Staff and pupils at Holly Hall Mathematics and Computing College took part in Sunfield's Sunshine Week to raise money for the centre which provides special provisions for children with severe and complex learning needs.
Throughout the week a number of fun activities were held at the Scotts Green Close school to raise money for Sunfield who are raising money to fund a new school building.
Fundraising activities on offer included a lunchtime car wash, a danceathon, cake and biscuit sale, treasure hunt, sponsored walk, table tennis and rounders tournament, guess the name of the teddy as well as a small change collection.
A sunflower totaliser located in the dining room displayed the daily amount raised which reached well over £800.
Sue Lloyd, who organised the week, said: "It was an amazing week, absolutely fantastic.
"I used to work for Sunfield in a previous job so it is a cause close to my heart, but when I mentioned it to the school they went and ran with the idea brilliantly.
"Everyone was amazing. Children gave up their lunchtimes and did different activities each day and even If there had been a huge reward for them at the end I don't think they could have worked any harder.
"It was a fabulous response from all children and staff at Holly Hall".
