AS winter takes hold around the region with heavy snow falling across the borough, a number of schools have closed.

Many schools are already shut and a Dudley Council spokesman stressed more may close as conditions worsen during the day.

Forecasters are predicting bad weather will continue to affect the region throughout the week.

Dudley schools already closed for the day are: Alder Coppice Primary, Sedgley, Branford Primary, Dudley, Bromley Pensnett Primary, Dudley, Kates Hill Community Primary, Dudley, Cotwall End Primary, Sedgley, The Crestwood School, Kingswinford, The Coseley School and Sports College, Coseley, The Dormston School, Sedgley, Dudley Wood Primary, Dudley, The Earls High School, Halesowen, The Ellowes Hall School, Dudley, Hob Green Primary, Stourbridge, Hillcrest School and Community College, Netherton, The Hollyhall Maths and Computing College, Dudley, The High Arcal School, Sedgley, The Kingswinford School, Kingswinford, Leasowes Community College, Halesowen, Milking Bank Primary, Dudley, Netherbrook Primary, Dudley, Netherton C of E, Netherton, Queen Victoria Primary, Sedgley, Pensnett High School, Brierley Hill, Redhall Primary, Dudley, Ridgewood High School, Stourbridge, Russell’s Hall Primary, Dudley, St Marks C of E, Pensnett and The Brier, Kingswinford.
