HUNDREDS of families had a close encounter with a well-known sci-fi villain at Dudley Library.
More than 1,500 people of all ages visited the library on last Saturday (February 21) to meet a Dalek, Dr Who’s ultimate rival.
Not only did children get to meet the Dalek, they also got to take part in intergalactic quizzes and games.
Councillor Michael Evans, cabinet member responsible for libraries, said: “The Dalek proved to be a real crowd pleaser and provided lots of free entertainment for children and adults alike. It gave youngsters and of course, adult fans of the cult TV show, the unique opportunity to meet one of the shows biggest stars.”
