Bomb hoax man jailed

A HOLLY Hall bomb hoaxer has been jailed by Dudley Magistrates after telling emergency services there was a bomb on a bus.

Raja Naveed Hussain, aged 26, of Hilderic Close, was jailed for 12 weeks on April 29, after he phoned West Midlands Ambulance Service on April 27 and told the operator there was a bomb on the 126 bus, when he knew it was false.

The defendant was also jailed for six weeks consecutive to the above as well as being disqualified from driving for three years, for failing to provide a specimen for analysis.

Also appearing at Dudley Magistrates on April 29: Gary Frederick Taylor, aged 52, of Dalvine Road, Brierley Hill, was handed an 18 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £70 court costs for being drunk and disorderly in Pensnett High Street.

Jamie Lee Fellows, aged 19, of Dunkroft Walk, Woodsetton, was sent to a Youth Offenders Institution for 12 weeks for burglary and theft of a £250 mountain bike.

Glenn Raymond Parkes, aged 46, of Pebworth Grove, Dudley, was handed a one year restraining order, a one year supervised community order as well as being ordered to pay £500 compensation and £70 court costs for harassment without violence.

Anthony Gill, aged 49, of Central Drive, Lower Gornal, was handed a 12 month conditional discharge as well as being fined £50 and ordered to pay £200 court costs for assault a constable in the execution of his duty.

Adnan Rashid, aged 22, of Station Road, Brierley Hill, was fined £450 and ordered to pay £60 court costs and £15 costs as well as being handed eight penalty licence points for driving without insurance.

The defendant was also fined £150 for driving while using a mobile phone.

In court on April 27: Matthew Davies, aged 23, of Newland Grove, Holly Hall, was fined £100 and ordered to pay £250 compensation and £30 court costs and £15 costs for causing £500 damage to windows at The Red Lion pub in Brierley Hill.

Ross Frederick Day, aged 18, of St Marks Road, Dudley, was handed a 12 month supervised community order, as well as being ordered to pat £100 compensation and £60 court costs.

Scott Garrington, aged 38, of Orchard Street, Brockmoor, was fined £175 and was ordered to pay £60 court costs and £15 costs, for driving a motor vehicle he was not licensed to drive.

The defendant was also fined £525 and was handed six licence penalty points for driving without insurance.

He was also fined £50 for driving without a valid test certificate.

Aiden Jones, aged 21, of Bradford Road, Holly Hall, was fined £240 and ordered to pay £250 compensation as well as £30 court costs and £15 costs for causing £500 damage to windows at The Red Lion pub in Brierley Hill.

Mohammed Yahya Ali, aged 32, of Copse Road, Netherton, was fined £35 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £60 compensation as well as being handed three licence penalty points, for driving a vehicle he was not licensed to drive.

Paul Hodgetts, aged 46, of Woodside Road, Holly Hall, was fined £150 and ordered to pay £100 court costs and £15 costs as well as being disqualified from driving for 17 months, for driving while over the legal alcohol limit.

Choudhary Tasnim Rashid, aged 33, of Blowers Green Road, Dudley, was fined £150 and ordered to pay £100 court costs and £15 costs as well as being disqualified from driving for three years, for driving while over the legal alcohol limit.

Martin Samuel Welch, aged 22, of Limes Avenue, Brierley Hill, was fined £450 and ordered to pay £15 costs, as well as being disqualified from driving for 28 days, for driving without due care and attention.

In court on April 28: David William Evans, aged 26, of Park Road, Woodsetton, was handed a 12 month community order and ordered to pay £60 court costs, as well as being disqualified from driving for 24 months, for driving while over the legal alcohol limit.

Donna Marie Cole, aged 36, of Wrens Hill Road, Dudley, was fined £100 and ordered to pay £60 court costs and £15 costs as well as being handed three penalty points, for driving a vehicle he was not licensed to drive.

Liam Scott Hedley, aged 23, of St John’s Road, Kates Hill, was handed a six month conditional discharge as well as being ordered to pay £87 court costs for possessing heroin.

Mohammed Khan, aged 22, of St Georges Road, Netherton, was fined £160 and ordered to pay £60 court costs and £15 costs as well as being disqualified from driving for six months for driving without insurance.

In court on April 30: Leon Richard Bryant, aged 30, of Bunns Lane, Kates Hill, was jailed for 28 days for failing to notify of a new address for the sex offenders register.

Richard Michael Everall, aged 21, of Burton Road, Dudley, was handed a 12 month community order as well as being ordered to pay £100 compensation for causing £150 damage to a glazed window.

Diane Louise Elizabeth Fairley, aged 28, of Brockmoor High Street, was jailed for eight weeks for stealing cosmetics and perfume worth £51.87 from Boots, Merry Hill.

Richard Anthony North, aged 33, of Stickley Lane, Lower Gornal, was fined £50 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £60 court costs, as well as being handed three licence penalty points, for driving a vehicle he was not licensed to drive.
