A SEDGLEY teenager has been sent to a youth offenders institution after assaulting a policeman.
Ruben Raymond Campbell, aged 18, of Westgate Close, was sent to the institution for six weeks by Dudley Magistrates on June 17 following the assault on the Pc in the execution of his duty.
Also appearing at Dudley Magistrates Court on June 17: Karl Jon Hegarty, aged 23, of Sudeley Gardens, Lower Gornal, was disqualified from driving for 18 months as well as being fined £160 and ordered to pay £87 court costs and £15 costs for driving while over the legal alcohol limit.
The defendant was also fined £160 for driving without insurance.
Gavin Robert Clarke, aged 26, of Planet Road, Brierley Hill, was jailed for 18 weeks, suspended for 12 months, for stealing two legs of lamb worth £44.28 from Tesco.
The defendant was also jailed for two weeks, suspended for 12 months for failing to surrender to bail.
He was also jailed for 18 weeks, suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £32.40 compensation and £120 court costs for stealing eight blocks of cheese, worth £32.40 from Spar.
In court on June 15: Liam Scott Guest, aged 26, of Bennett’s Hill, Dudley, was disqualified from driving for 18 months as well as being handed a 12 month community order and ordered to pay £87 court costs, for driving while over the legal alcohol limit.
Jeanette Evans, aged 58, of Roach Close, Fens Pool, was fined £130 and ordered to pay £15 costs and handed three licence penalty points for driving without insurance.
Kenneth Matthew Jinks, aged 24, of St Johns Road, Kates Hill, was handed a 12 month community order as well as being ordered to pay £250 compensation and £87 court costs for burglary with intent to steal.
In court on June 16: Eamon Anthony Gill, aged 49, of Vale Street, Upper Gornal, was disqualified from driving for 12 months as well as being fined £300, £87 court costs and £15 costs for driving while over the legal alcohol limit.
Leigh-Anne Williams, aged 28, of Forest Road, Dudley, was handed a 12 month community order as well being ordered to pay £200 costs for failing to cause regular attendance at school of a registered pupil.
Marie Findlay, aged 34, of Copse Road, Netherton, was handed eight six-month community orders for making false statements on a council tax benefit form and a housing benefit form to obtain social security on October 28, 2004, February 6, 2006, May 17, 2006 and April 19, 2007.
The defendant was also ordered to pay £295 costs.
Parminder Kaur, aged 52, of Lupin Road, Kates Hill, was fined £70 and ordered to pay £741.10 costs and £15 costs for selling alcohol to a 14-year-old.
The defendant was also fined £105 for selling alcohol to a 15-year-old.
Sukhdev Singh, aged 53, of Lupin Road, Kates Hill, was fined £130 and ordered to pay £741.10 costs and £15 costs for selling alcohol to a 14-year-old.

Julia Lorraine Walters, aged 38, of Paradise, Dudley, was handed a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £100 costs for stealing two bottles of drink from Somerfield.
In court on June 19: Stuart Round, aged 20, of Poplar Crescent, Dudley, was sent to a youth offenders institution for 30 days failing to attend an appointment with his supervising officer.
The defendant was also sent to a youth offenders institution for 28 days consecutive to the above, for stealing two cartons of wine worth £10 from Tate Spar.
He was also sent to a youth offenders institution for 56 days concurrent for breaching an ASBO.
Warren Ivor Clutterbuck, aged 30, of Jockey Fields, Upper Gornal, was handed a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £87 court costs for stealing £40.20 worth of meat from Co-op.
Steven Frederick Perry, aged 54, of Mossdale Way, Sedgley, was disqualified from driving for 22 months as well as being fined £100 and ordered to pay £87 court costs and £15 costs for driving over the legal alcohol limit.
David Andrew Jones, aged 28, of Haydon Road, Pensnett, was handed a 12 month community order and ordered to pay £87 court costs for possessing heroin.
Ray Joseph Johnson, aged 44, Vale Road, Netherton, was handed a 12 month conditional discharge as well as being ordered to pay £250 court costs for assault by beating.
Brett Anthony Lloyd, aged 19, of Uxbridge Close, Gornal, was fined £135 and ordered to pay £125 court costs and £15 costs as well as being handed six licence penalty points for driving without insurance.
The defendant was also fined £35 for driving without due care and attention.
Shahid Bashir, aged 27, of Holly Hock Road, Kates Hill, was handed a six month community order for taking a vehicle without the owners consent.
The defendant was also fined £100 and ordered to pay £15 and £120 court costs as well as being handed six licence penalty points for driving without insurance.
He was also fined £65 for speeding and was handed a six month community order for failing to surrender to custody.
Roan Mullings, aged 28, of Cochrane Road, Holly Hall, was fined £100 and ordered to pay £12 costs and £60 court costs, as well as being handed six licence penalty points for driving without insurance.
