Guilty of sweets theft

AN 18-YEAR-old Dudley teen has been handed a 12 month conditional discharge by Dudley Magistrates after stealing sweets.

Victoria Elizabeth Hathaway, of Stourbridge Road was handed the conditional discharge and ordered to pay £87 court costs on June 26, for stealing £7.99 worth of confectionary from TK Maxx.

Also in court on June 26: Anthony John Rushton, aged 33, of Wrens Nest Road, Dudley, was fined £80 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £87 court costs, for being drunk and disorderly in a public place.

Marc Jonathon Hathway, aged 31, of Halesowen Road, Netherton, was handed a 12 month community order, as well as being ordered to pay £87 court costs, for stealing lead.

Sarah Ann Kelly, aged 31, of Grange Road, Dudley, was jailed for 16 weeks, for assault.

Abdul Khan Qadir, aged 26, of Church Street, Pensnett, was disqualified from driving for 18 months, as well as being fined £75 and ordered to pay £60 court costs and £15 costs, for driving while over the legal alcohol limit.

In court on June 23: Amarjit Singh, aged 39, of Langstone Close, Russells Hall, was fined £100 and ordered to pay £100 court costs as well as £15 costs for obstructing a constable in the execution of his duty.

Adam Marc Shufflebotham, aged 29, of Bank Street, Brierley Hill, was fined £195 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £87 court costs, as well as being handed six licence penalty points, for failing to stop after an accident.

The defendant was also fined £195 for failing to report an accident.

Kiplyn Campbell, aged 34, of Bunns Lane, Kates Hill, was ordered to pay £15 costs and £60 court costs, as well as being handed five licence penalty points, for driving a vehicle he was not licensed to drive.

The defendant was also fined £85 for driving without a test certificate.

Ben Hart, aged 21, of Uplands Road, Sledmere, was fined £525 and ordered to pay £60 court costs and £15 costs, as well as being handed six licence penalty points for driving without insurance.

Tonia Oliver, aged 40, of Tansley Hill Road, Dudley, was fined £45 and ordered to pay £15 costs, as well as being handed three licence penalty points, for speeding.

In court on June 24: Steven George Walters, aged 36, of Cinder Bank, Netherton, was jailed for 12 weeks as well as being handed a three year ASBO, for stealing £75 worth of baby clothes from Ethel Austin.

The defendant was also jailed for 12 weeks, concurrent to the above, for stealing a £10.99 bottle of vodka from Somerfield on June 16.

Dale Brian Holland, aged 25, of Tansley Hill Avenue, was fined £100 and ordered to pay £87 court costs and £15 costs , as well as being disqualified from driving for 12 months, for driving while over the legal alcohol limit.

In court on June 25: David Stanley Downing, aged 46, of Grenville Road, Russells Hall, was handed a 12 month community order, as well as ordered to pay £87 court costs for breaching a restraining order.

Alfie John Haywood, aged 24, of Wellington Road, Dudley, was fined £100 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £60 court costs for being drunk and disorderly in a public place.

Robert John Jones, aged 56, of Vale Street, Gornal. was fined £525 and ordered to pay £60 court costs and £15 costs, as well as being handed six licence penalty points, for driving without insurance.

The defendant was also fined £150 for driving without a test certificate.

Nathan Philip Smith, aged 32, of Woodside Road, Dudley, was fined £290 and ordered to pay £15 costs, as well as being handed six licence penalty points, for driving without insurance.

The defendant was also fined £125 for driving without a test certificate.
