A-LEVEL students at Bishop Milner Catholic School are this morning celebrating an impressive pass rate of 99 per cent.

The Burton Road school also boasts a worthy 76 per cent pass rate achieved at the highest grades, with 51 per cent off all entries finding A and B grades on their result slips.

There were 100 per cent pass rate in 27 of the 29 subjects offered to students, with many of the teenagers now off to access some of the most prestigious courses and Universities.

Outstanding individual performances who achieved all A grades include Christopher Harding, who was awarded four A's, will be reading Chemical Engineering at Birmingham.

Sebastien Bishop-Bennett achieved four A's to allow him to read Philosophy at UCL, while Darcy Luke will be reading Political Science at Birmingham after also scoring four A's.

Meanwhile Nita Patel, Jessie Ragget and Kalita Patel all achieved three A grades and will go onto read Pharmacy at Aston, Engineering at Leicester and Chemical Engineering at Birmingham, respectively.

A thrilled headteacher, Des Fagan, paid tribute to the hard work given by his students and staff.

He said: "Congratulations to the superb teamwork of students and staff which resulted in these magnificent achievement at the highest level."
