TICKETS for forthcoming events at the Black Country Living Museum will go on sale next week, with visitors urged to beat the rush and get in early.

Visitors are urged to book up early for this year's events which include Halloween at the Museum, the traditional bonfire night, Santa Hunts and the traditional Christmas evenings as tickets go on sale on Tuesday.

Museum spokesman Fiona Carding said: "These pre-book only events are some of the museum's most-loved and places get filled earlier and earlier each year. We get many return visits from families for whom the holiday season wouldn't be complete without a trip to the Black Country Living Museum".

On Saturday October 31, psychics and mystics will descend on the Tipton Road musuem to gaze into the future.

Mysterious guides will also be telling tales of bumps in the night in the eerie gas-lit village.

However - the museum's biggest evening event of the year is its traditional Bonfire Night - a family-orientated night out on November 5, complete with roaring bonfires, traditional entertainment, hot roasted chestnuts and a fairground.

The highly popular Santa Hunts are another big hit with children and parents alike.

Youngsters can embark upon a fun-filled search for Father Christmas helped by costumed guides who point out clues. Santa Hunts take place on November 28 and 29 and December 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24.

Meanwhile a Christmas card scene will unfold at the Traditional Christmas Evenings on December 18, 19, 21 and 22, when the museum's gas and candlelit village, complete with Victorian carol singers, bell ringers, street organs, market stalls and a brass band, will transport visitors on a trip down memory lane.

Places are limited for all the above events and pre-booking is essential.
