HILLCREST School and Community College pupils are jumping for joy after achieving their "dramatically improved" GSCE results.
The teenagers at the Simms Lane school achieved 77 per cent pass rate for five A* - C grades, while 47 per cent of learners achieved five A* - C grades including English and maths.
The results will ensure the school's position as one of the top five per cent of schools nationally regarding pupil progress.
Principal April Garratt, congratulated her students on their fantastic achievements.
She said: "I am so pleased with the achievements of all our students and am delighted that Hillcrest has been able to make a difference to the life chances of our young people."
