AN 18-year-old Dudley man has been stabbed, while walking home with his girlfriend.

Detectives are investigating the incident which took place on Blowers Green Road on Friday evening (September 18) around 9.30pm.

The teenager was walking along with his girlfriend, also aged 18, when a group of Asian men approached them and started shouting.

One of the offenders punched the lad to the face and then kicked him. During the attack the victim suffered four stab wounds to his body. His girlfriend was uninjured.

The victim was taken to hospital, where he received treatment for his injuries. He was discharged on Monday (September 21).

Detective constable Andrew Carley at Brierley Hill CID said: "This young couple were simply walking home when they were attacked by a group of between five and 10 men.

"The incident was completely unprovoked and left this lad with nasty injuries, for which he spent three days in hospital.

"We are concerned by the nature of this attack, and we urge anyone with information to help our investigation to give us a call."

The offenders were all Asian males, aged in their mid teens and early 20s.
