Quakers get new place to worship

MEMBERS of Dudley Quakers are celebrating after moving into a new worship base, while also marking National Quaker Week.

For over 30 years, the group has met in Parkway Road but due to the growing numbers of people joining its meetings, the premises were too small for the Friends who regularly attend every Sunday.

The group looked at renting a room in the town centre, where meetings could be more accessible for anyone wanting to go along.

Hearing the Quakers plight, Headway – a charity which supports people with brain injuries – kindly opened its doors to them.

Dudley Quakers will now meet at the Wolverhampton Street Headway premises every Sunday at 10.30am.
