An 18-year-old man had to be airlifted to hospital after his car crashed into a lamppost in Brierley Hill this weekend.
Ambulance crews were called to Dreadnaught Road, Pensnett, at 8.15am on Saturday morning.
The Midlands air ambulance from Cosford was scrambled to the scene because the driver had suffered a head injury during the crash.
A spokesman for the West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "On arrival at the scene crews found a car in collision with a lamppost, the man, believed to be 18-years-old, was treated at the scene for a head injury. "Due to the nature of the injury the doctor at the scene gave him an anesthetic before he was air lifted to Selly Oak Hospital for further treatment."
