POLICE have released CCTV images of two men believed to have been involved in a bus robbery in Dudley.

The incident happened on board the 311 bus travelling from Wednesbury to Dudley at 8.20pm on July 10 2009.

A 14-year-old boy was alone on board the bus when two men got on at Bloomfield Road and sat down near to him.

As the bus approached Castlegate Island in Dudley, one of the males pulled some earphones out of the ears of the victim and grabbed his mobile phone. The boy was uninjured but very shaken by what took place.

Detective constable Emily Crump from Dudley CID said: “The young lad has been deeply affected by what happened, to such an extent that he is still unable to travel on buses alone.

“We are keen to find these men and bring them to justice and urge anyone who recognises the people pictured to call us at Dudley CID.”

The men are both described as black, and in their early 20s.

Anyone with information should call Dudley CID on 0845 113 5000 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
