IN what started off as a few flurries of snow flakes, has bought chaos to the borough as heavy snow fall fell for an hour.
The whole borough has been blanketed with snow which has already begun disrupting services.
And schools have also begun closing, on the first day back of term.
School closures include Alder Coppice primary school, Brierley Hill primary, Brockmoor primary, Bromley-Pensnett primary and Dudley Wood primary and Nursery.
Milking Bank primary, Netherbrook primary, Priory Primary and Children’s Centre, Redhall primary in Lower Gornal, St Mark’s in Pensnett and Woodside Community School and Children Centre have also closed because of the weather.
Students are also being sent home early from Holly Hall school and Old Park Special School will be closing at 1pm.
