Man airlifted to hospital after Quinton road smash

A MAN was airlifted to Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham following a road traffic smash in Quinton this afternoon (Sunday February 7).

The crash, involving two vehicles, happened at around 3.10pm on Wolverhampton Road South.

Firefighters from Oldbury and Woodgate Valley raced to the scene - and cut free a man trapped in his car.

He was then flown to hospital by air ambulance.
