BEREAVED families are being offered the chance to remember loved ones by taking up a plaque at a new memorial wall at Gornal Wood crematorium.
Dudley Council has unveiled the new wall next to the Garden of Remembrance which allows families to lease a wall plaque for a period of 10 years.
The wall was built to complement the gardens which are used for the scattering of cremated remains.
Wall plaques will be available to all families regardless of when the scattering of remains took place.
Councillor David Stanley, cabinet member for environment and culture, said: “We are pleased to be able to offer wall plaques in an area near to where families have had their loved ones remains scattered and hope that bereaved families find the memorials a small comfort.”
For more information on leasing a plaque at the wall contact Gornal Wood crematorium office on 01384 813970.
