A GORNAL author has again put pen to paper and is celebrating her 13th published book.

Nell Dixon, 45, has just seen the launch of her latest romantic novel, Crystal Clear, which hit the shelves last month.

The newest addition, which is again published through Little Black Dress, is set in Brixham and the South Riviera, a popular and romantic tourist spot which also holds a special place in Nell’s heart as she and her husband spent their honeymoon in Torquay 25 years ago. They celebrate their silver wedding anniversary this year.

Nell, of Snowberry Drive, who works for a Sandwell disability charity, said: “It is such a romantic area and a lovely part of the world.

“A lot of people from the Black Country visit Devon, so they will recognise a lot of familiar places in the book.”

And fans do not have to wait long for another book as Nell is busily penning her latest romance, which is due out in the summer.

She said: “The book will be called Just Look at Me Now and is due out in August. I’ve been told it can already be pre-ordered, which is scary, as I haven’t finished writing it yet.”

Nell is also celebrating after being named as one of six finalists for the prestigious Romantic Novelists’ Association Love Story of The Year Award.

Her book Animal Instincts, which was published last year, has been nominated for the top award by a panel of readers.

The winner will be chosen by three judges and will be announced on March 16 at a glittering ceremony at the Royal Kensington Hotel in London.

She said: “I’m thrilled and honoured to have my book short-listed. All writers hope readers will like their work so this wonderful award, which is chosen by readers, is extra special.

“This is the RNA’s fiftieth anniversary and I’m looking forward to the awards final with great excitement”.

Crystal Clear, is available online and from all good bookstores, priced £5.99.
