Men in court for EDL rooftop protest

TWO men have appeared in court following the English Defence League rooftop protest in Dudley.

Leon McCreery, aged 28, from Stockport, and 39-year-old John Shaw from Knaresborough, appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court today charged with burglary and public order offences.

Following the Bank Holiday demonstration a 34-year-old man appeared before Dudley Magistrates Court yesterday to be bound over for a breach of the peace. Seven other men, aged between 16 and 34, were also arrested for public order offences and remain on bail pending further inquiries.

Is there any truth to the rumour that one of the rooftop protesters had a broken arm and the other a black eye.

Perhaps they slipped and fell? Perhaps they should try Lawyers4u or Claims Direct?

yes it is true arther,the truth behind it is that a muslim gang stabbed 5edl members.they arrested a muslim and next thing muslims rang police and said let our man go or we will cause a riot! thats when the armed police went on to roof and attacked the two edl members with electric guns!one as a broken arm and the other a black eye. i wonder whether it will be in the paper?

There is a Socialist Worker Online article called United Protest Humiliates the Racist EDL in Dudley. It lends some credibility to EDL accounts that EDL lads were lured by mysterious white English people towards armed gangs of Asians.

there were stabbings but the press dont publish them do they, they are too scared of them being called racists. also one our lads was beat up by 5 of them when he was on his own. our lads did a roof top protest and they get attacked by the police but they give free reign to preachers of hate!!

Well done Dudley residents and police for showing these facsist thugs they are not welcome in the town, on the day of the protest they went around and attacked asian looking people in town, and even attacked and caused damage to caspian pizza on the high street.
Whevever they come here they will be met with a robust response from the people of dudley. keep these thugs out.

They don't deserve this, all they have done is clim onto a roof and played some music, a peacefull protest!

If it were any other group they'd been dealt with differently.
