A GROUP of Milking Bank toddlers took part in a sponsored toddle waddle in aid of the Meningitis Trust.
Over 15 young members of the Chat and Play playgroup, which is run every Monday and Friday morning at Milking Bank Primary School, donned specially made duck hats for the toddle waddle, raising over £100 for the charity.
The children, all between two and three-years-old, walked from the Aintree Way school to the pond in Milking Bank park, before returning for a picnic.
Lisa Priest, who co-runs the Monday morning session, said the toddle waddle was enjoyed by everyone.
She said: “It went really well. It stayed dry, but it was a bit windy, so we had our picnic back at the school rather than in the park. It seems each child has an average of £20 sponsorship, which is great for us to give to the charity.”
