A 36 YEAR-old Dudley man has been jailed for a total of twelve and a half years for a string of serious sex attacks on a school girl.

Judge John Warner told Siraffraz Janjuait, of Bourne Street, was clear he had shown "no remorse or concern" for his young vulnerable victim.

Sitting at Wolverhampton Crown Court, the judge said: "She had to bottle her feelings and carry the burden of the dreadful behaviour you inflicted upon her."

Janjua had denied raping the girl, as well as denying three charges of indecent assault, two of sexual assault and another of sexual activity with a children.

But he was convicted on unanimous verdicts by a jury after they retired to consider the evidence at the end of his trial.

The judge ruled he had to pass a sentence that would safeguard members of the public in the future and also ensure he was completely rehabilitated.

Darron Whitehead defending said Janjua continued to maintain the girl had lied in evidence to the jury and that there were still "doubts and concerns" about the case against him.
