CHILDREN at a Lower Gornal school travelled around the world to celebrate Christmas.
Key Stage one children at Roberts Primary School performed Christmas Around the World – centring on the nativity story with a collection of Christmas celebrations from six different countries.
The children – 180 aged between five and seven years-old – performed to 400 family, friends and community members as they showcased Christmas celebrations in Poland, Malawi, Australia, China, America and Ireland, comparing it to festive celebrations at home.
Headteacher David Baker said: “The play was a fantastic way of bringing children together from different cultures and countries.”
