Pretty Demi vies for Miss England crown

A PRETTY travel agent is hoping to soar to new heights as she vies for the title of Miss England.

Demi Payne, from Holly Hall has reached the quarter finals of the prestigious beauty pageant and is currently featuring in the third heat of the Miss Fresh Photographic competition.

The 20 year-old, who works for Thompson in Merry Hill, was scouted at the NEC Clothes Show last year and was whisked away for a photo shoot in London.

Now Demi is urging borough residents to get behind her bid for the Miss England crown by voting, as the girl with the most votes will win a place in the semi final next June, with the eventual winner representing England in the Miss World pageant.

Demi said: "I'm really excited to have made the quarter finals. I'm too short to be able to do catwalk modelling, so when I was spotted at the Clothes Show and told I could do beauty modelling, I thought, why not? I might as well give it a go."

"All my family and friends are really excited about it and have put it all over their Facebook pages. It's great that someone from Dudley is in the competition."
