A BAKERY has helped to raise dough at a Dudley primary school’s summer fair.

Milking Bank Primary School raised £4,500 from its fundraiser, which will go towards school funds, but were helped out by Allied Bakeries in West Bromwich which donated 400 bread rolls and 50 loaves of Kingsmill for the BBQ.

Vicky Cunningham, Parent Teacher Association member at Milking Bank Primary School, said: “We are so grateful for the support that Kingsmill has given the school. Being able to reduce costs for our fundraising events makes a big difference to the total amount that we are able to raise. Gestures like this from local businesses really do make a big difference. On the day everything ran smoothly and we are delighted with how much we raised.”

Mark Koppel, Commercial Manager for Allied Bakeries West Bromwich, said: “This is the first time that we have helped out with the Milking Bank Summer Fair and we are really happy that it met the expectations of the school. We were only too happy to oblige when the request came in. Our congratulations go out to the organisers of the day for its huge success.”
