THERE were smiles all round at Bishop Milner Catholic School this morning as its pupils once again secured outstanding A level results.

Staff are celebrating a pass rate of 99.56 per cent for the sixth year running, maintaining the Burton Road school’s position as one of the best sixth forms in the country.

An impressive 71 per cent of pupils achieved the results A*-C, with 26 students gaining three or more of the top grades on their results slip.

And 21 out of 22 subjects offered at the school achieved 100 per cent of A*- C pass rates.

Outstanding individual performances included Rachel Tudor, who achieved an A*, three A’s and a B grade and Neil Stringer who was awarded an A*, A and B grade.

Neil has also secured a prestigious advanced undergraduate scholarship with a leading energy company, specialising in ICT.

The school also achieved impressive AS results, with students Beth Hancox and Joshua Lathan both achieving five A grades, while Rachel Allen and Richard Beddard each achieved four A grades and one B.
