New intake for Prince's Trust scheme
9:10am Friday 30th December 2011 in News
YOUNG people in Dudley are being invited to join a 12 week programme, which could help change their lives for the better.
The Prince’s Trust scheme, which is run in conjunction with City of Wolverhampton College, is looking for new members for their next course, which begins in January in Netherton.
The programme helps 16 to 25-year-olds back into jobs, education or training and includes a one week residential week as well an opportunity to take part in community projects, fundraising activities and work towards a number of certificates.
As part of the new course, leaders are also on the lookout for potential projects which they could get involved in.
Team Leader Kirsty Major said: “We are also appealing for anyone who knows of any potential projects, such as renovating a community centre or creating a play area, that would be challenging and achievable for a team to complete within two weeks to get in contact.”
The programme starts on January 16.
To join up to suggest a project contact Kirsty on 07747 898098 or Lisa Blakeway on 07920 765805.
