Netherton mum fined for dumping rubbish

A 35 YEAR-old Netherton single mother-of-two has been handed a 12 month conditional discharge by Dudley Magistrates Court after dumping rubbish in Brockmoor.

Appearing in court on March 8, Tracey Drake, of Lodge Crescent was also ordered to pay £160 compensation and £295 for depositing the black bags off Leys Road.

The court heard how the defendant had paid £30 for scrap metal collectors to take away the extra bags of rubbish, which she had collected following a spring clean.

The bags were traced back to herafter general corresponce details, including Christmas and birthday cards, were found among the dumped items.

Also appearing in court on March 8: Neil Aston Beckford, aged 41, of Birmingham New Road, Dudley, was handed a 12 month community order and ordered to pay £200 compensation and £200 court costs, for assault.

Ivor John Yates, aged 54, of Church Street, Lower Gornal, was jailed for 22 weeks and disqualified from driving for seven years, for driving while disqualified.

Vicky Parfitt, aged 20, of Watsons Green Road, Dudley, was fined £175 and ordered to pay £264 compensation, £15 costs and £295 costs, for failing to remove controlled waste from the rear garden and side passageway of the property, within the requested time period.

Stephen Cox, aged 55, of Haig Road, Dudley, was handed a 12 month community order and ordered to pay £295 costs, for failing to notify a change in circumstances regard the entitlement of Social Security.

Madelaine Bolton, aged 74, of Uplands Road, Dudley, was handed a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £295 costs, for making a false representation with regard to Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit entitlement.

Louise Khan, aged 60, of Baptist End Road, Netherton, was handed a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £295 costs, for failing to notify a change in circumstances regard the entitlement of Social Security.

In court on March 5: Nicholas Truman, aged 21, of Campbell Street, Brockmoor, was jailed for four weeks, for harassment.

In court on March 6: Stephen Murphy, aged 33, of Knowle Hill Road, Dudley, was fined £235, for making a false response following a request for information regarding child maintenance.

Tina Marie Evans, aged 49, of Grainger Street, Dudley, was handed a 12 month community order for stealing £65.27 worth of food from B&M.

The defendant was also handed a 12 month community order for stealing confectionary and toiletries, worth £10 from Poundland.

Michael John Fisher, aged 23, of Lodge Crescent, Netherton, was jailed for 10 weeks suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £85 court costs, for possessing cannabis.

In court on March 9: Bernice Louise Dean, aged 22, of Cochrane Road, Holly Hall, was handed an 18 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £100 compensation and £200 court costs, for assault.
