STUDENTS in Netherton have the incentive to cycle to school now they have a safe and secure shelter to leave their prized possessions.
Hillcrest School unveiled its new state-of-the-art cycle shelter after gaining more than £20,000 funding.
The school hopes the new addition will get more pupils to use pedal power to get to class.
Headteacher Dame Mo Brennan said: "Getting the shelter is fantastic news for the school and our students and something we have been striving to get for a long time."
To ensure kids are safe on their cycles the school has also been actively training staff to help pupils gain their cycling proficiency test.
The facility was officially opened by last year's head boy Daniel Haywood, who is currently starring in the Channel 4 programme Ballet Changed My Life.
