COMMUNITY projects in Brockmoor and Pensnett are being invited to bid for a share of more than £84,000.
The cash, totalling £84,775 has been awarded to the area as part of the Community First Programme to fund projects until March 2015.
A panel of eight members, who are all representatives from the neighbourhoods, will decide where to award funds, with priority given to those projects which address crime and anti-social behaviour, public health, community engagement, involvement and cohesion or prevent isolation among elderly people.
Panel chairman and ward councillor, Judy Foster, said: “I welcome that Brockmoor and Pensnett have been granted this funding, as there are plenty of issues it can be used to address. I appeal to community groups and residents in the area to come forward with projects that will strengthen and support communities in the area.”
The application process is open until Friday, June 8.
