A CANNABIS factory has been uncovered in a house opposite a primary school in Dudley Wood after residents raised concerns.
Police officers carried out a raid and discovered 24 cannabis plants at the property in Dudley Wood Road opposite Dudley Wood Primary School.
Police constable John Birchill of the Quarry Bank and Dudley Wood neighbourhood team, said: "We carried the drugs warrant out after receiving information from the community.
"No-one was in the building at the time, but a very professional automated hydroponics set up was found and 24 cannabis plants were seized".
The offender later handed himself into Brierley Hill police station and was issued with a caution.
Pc Birchall said: "I want to take this opportunity to thank the local community in bringing our attention to this issue.
“All information we receive from our communities will always be treated confidentially and taken seriously".
