Brass band concert in aid of broken church heating

AN award-winning Gornal-based brass band are holding a fundraising concert to raise money for a church’s broken down heating system.
Phoenix West Midlands Brass Band, who rehearse at Himley Road Methodist Church, are hosting the concert on Saturday, May 26 at the church, in a bid to help repair the building’s defunct heating.
The event will start at 7.30pm. Tickets are £5 and available by calling John Moore on 07985 063022.
The band, who were recently awarded second place in the Midland Area Championships of Great Britain, are preparing for the National finals in Cheltenham later in the year.
