MORE than 100 cannabis plants with a street value of £25,000 have been seized today following a police raid on a Dudley house.

The cannabis factory was found operating at a property in Churchfield Street, Dudley.

A 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of production of the drug and is currently helping police with their inquiries.

The address was searched following community concerns about drug activity in the area.

Sergeant Warren Lambeth said: "This great result was achieved by acting on the concerns raised by the local community.

"It is the continued support from the public that helps us to eradicate drug criminality in the area.

"We attend many community meetings where local residents have told us they would like us to prioritise dealing with drug crime.
