BOOKWORMS at Netherton CE Primary School were transported into a world of imagination with a visit by a children’s author.
Karen King, who has published a wide variety of children’s literature, spent a day working with children from year one to four.
After reading her own books, the Highbridge Road school pupils were then encouraged to write their own tales on a different theme, including Romans, Olympics and the Diamond Jubilee.
Assistant Headteacher, Joanne Robinson, said: “The children all loved having a real author in school. It was great for them to hear from a writer’s perspective.”
