Teenager's body recovered from Lower Gornal quarry
THE body of a 14 year-old boy has been recovered from a Lower Gornal quarry.
The discovery was made at 8.26pm.
The youngster's body has been removed and the coroner will be informed. He has yet to be formally identified.
He has been missing since 1pm this afternoon, when it was believed he jumped or fell into the water at the quarry behind The Crooked House pub off Himley Road.
A specially trained family liaison officer is supporting the missing boy’s family at this difficult time.
