Funding available for Brockmoor and Pensnett groups

GROUPS in Brockmoor and Pensnett are being urged to apply for a share of £21,223.

The second round of funding by the Brockmoor and Pensnett Community First Panel is now available, with grants of between £250 and £2,500 up for grabs by projects in the area which best meet four targets, including targeting crime and anti-social behaviour, public health, community engagement and preventing isolation amongst elderly persons.

The deadline for applications is Friday September 21.

Ward Councillor Judy Foster , Chair of the panel, said: “ In the first round, we saw some excellent applications demonstrating the commitment that many groups and organisations within and beyond the ward boundaries, have to improve the lives of people in Brockmoor and Pensnett. We look forward to seeing many more.”

The money has been made available through an £80m government-funded initiative which will run for four years, until March 2015.
