THERE were celebrations at a Netherton care home as it marked 21 years since opening.

Nethercrest Residential Care Home in Brewster Street marked the milestone anniversary with a 1960s themed party, where staff dressed up in attire from the era.

The Mayor of Dudley, councillor Melvyn Mottram and the Mayoress, wife Michelle, also joined in the party and enjoyed a piece of celebratory cake.

During the event a presentation also took place for Sandra Allen, who is the home’s housekeeper, who was also marking her 21st anniversary, after starting work at the home on the day it opened.
