Community order for fanta thief

A 25 YEAR-old Pensnett man has been handed a 12 month community order for stealing two bottles of fizzy pop.

Appearing in Dudley Magistrates Court on August 24, Jason James Stokes, of Mullett Street was also ordered to pay £85 for the offence, when he trespassed into a shed and a outhouse of a house in Pensnett Road on August 10 and stole a bottle of Fanta and 7 UP to the value of £2.

 

Also in court on August 24 :

 

  • Lee James Fisher, aged 32, of Chilton Close, Dudley, was handed a 12 month community order and ordered to pay £150 court costs, for stealing six pieces of meat, worth £44.64, from Co-op.

The defendant was also handed a 12 month community order for stealing £139.81 worth of make-up, from Lloyds Pharmacy.

He was also handed a 12 month community order for failing to surrender to custody. The defendant was also handed a 12 month community order for stealing four packs of Gillette razor blades, worth £80, from Asda.

He was also handed a 12 month community order for failing to surrender to custody.

 

  • Sharon Kerry Atkinson, aged 40, of Quenby Drive, Dudley, was handed a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 court costs, for possessing cocaine.

 

In court on August 20:

 

  • Liam Michael John Griffiths, aged 20, of Milton Street, Pensnett, was handed a six month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £40 court costs, for trespassing onto a railway line.

 

  • Neil David Powis, aged 39, of Queens Street, Pensnett, was handed an 18 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £40 court costs, for stealing a £300 mobile phone.

 

  • Andrew Paul Pugh, aged 19, of Foxglove Road, Dudley, was fined £36 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £80 costs, for driving a vehicle he was not licensed to drive.

The defendant was also fined £110 and handed six licence penalty points, for driving without insurance.

He was also fined £36 for driving without a valid test certificate.

 

In court on August 21:

 

  • John Griffin, aged 76, of Abbotsford Drive, Dudley, was fined £250 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £85 court costs, for driving while over the legal alcohol limit.

 

In court on August 22:

 

  • Scott Samuel Westwood, aged 26, of Stourbridge Road, Dudley, was jailed for 28 days, for damaging a mental ventilation shaft.

 

  • Daniel Robert Murphy, aged 20, of Campbell Street, Brockmoor, was fined £150 and ordered to pay £50 compensation and £15 costs and £85 court costs, for attempting to steal lead.

The defendant was also fined £50 for failing to surrender to custody.

 

  • Christopher William Payne, aged 19, of Upton Street, Netherton , was handed a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £49 compensation and £85 court costs, for stealing 10 jars of Nescafe coffee, worth £49, from Michael’s Supermarket.

 

  • Thomas Alexander Russell, aged 20, of Parsons Street, Dudley, was handed a 12 month community order and ordered to pay £85 court costs, for stealing £600 worth of lead.

 

In court on August 23:

 

  • Angelo Dytlow, aged 25, of Terry Street, Dudley, was fined £100 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £85 court costs, as well as being disqualified from driving for 12 months, for driving without insurance.

 

  • Craig Raymond Montroy, aged 24, of Selbourne Road, Dudley, was ordered to pay £130 compensation and £15 costs, as well as £85 court costs, for damaging a window.

 

  • Aaron Patrick Anslow, aged 26, of Compton Court, Netherton, was jailed for 18 weeks, for driving while disqualified.

The defendant was also jailed for 22 weeks concurrent and disqualified from driving for 27 months, for driving while disqualified.
