Merry Hill to host exclusive after-hours student lock-in

BOROUGH students can get their hands on some bargains at an exclusive after-hours event at Merry Hill next week, as the shopping centre hosts its first ever Student Lock-in complete with celebrity VIPs.
On Friday, October 5 youngsters can enjoy live entertainment, competitions and giveaways as well as discounted shopping at over 35 of the centre’s popular retailers, which are staying open until 10pm for the special event.
The exclusive evening will also include appearances of cast members from reality TV show Geordie Shore and students can get free shoe customisations for any pairs of TOMS purchased on the night from Schuh.
Kelly Reed, marketing manager Westfield Merry Hill said: “We are very excited to be hosting our first ever Student Lock-in event. “With all of the fantastic entertainment and activities we have lined up, we’re sure it will be a huge hit with local students.
“There will be some great bargains to grab and with the centre staying open until 10pm, there will be plenty of time to shop!”
Students can pre-register by going to studentlockin.com or sign up on the night but a valid student card will be needed to gain entry.
