A WEEK of activities are taking place next week to encourage people to be ‘Full of Life’.
The festival which starts on Monday and runs until Saturday 5 will include more than 30 events including walks and cycles rides, Latin and ballroom dancing, jewellery making sessions, exercise classes, laughter yoga and aromatherapy sessions.
The event has been organised by Dudley Council and Age UK Dudley who have teamed with the Forum of Older People in Dudley to co-ordinate the festival, in a bid to get people in later life to try something new and stay active and independent for longer.
The Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Melvyn Mottram, said: “Keeping active and having an interest really does add to a fuller life and the festival not only offers the opportunity to try out a new activity but is also a good time to find out what’s going on in the borough throughout the rest of the year.”
