Nursery collect food for elderly neighbours

GENEROUS children from a Dudley nursery have collected food for their elderly neighbours as part of their harvest celebrations.

The youngsters from Treetops nursery in Milking Bank held a collection of packets and tinned food for residents of Castle Meadows care home.

During a visit to the Dibdale Road residential home the children also entertained the residents with songs, before handing over their handmade hamper.

Nursery manager, Karen Hemmings , said: “It was nice to see the smiles on the elderly people’s faces especially when the children started singing.”
