New tennis facilities for Buffery Park

TENNIS fans will soon be able to play on Buffery Park with the opening of new facilities.

It has been almost 30 years since the park had a tennis court but following a £23,000 bid from the park’s Friends and Residents group, the new court is set to be officially opened from 1.30pm on Saturday by the Mayor of Dudley Councillor Melvyn Mottram.

Refreshments will be provided in the Buffery Paradise Centre and tennis coaching will be taking place throughout the event.

If you pay £23,000 you expect the contractors to do the job properly and this was the case with the relaying of part of the court on Buffery
