Man arrested on suspicion of arson after Black Country house blaze

DETECTIVES have arrested a man after a suspected arson attack on a home in the Black Country.

The 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of arson shortly after the blaze in Oldbury which happened in the early hours of this morning on (Saturday).

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Three men had to be helped escape from the property by fire-fighters before they were taken to hospital.

"Initial inquiries suggest the fire started well inside the terrace house which was sealed-off while forensic investigators conducted an examination of the property this morning."

Police were alerted by the firce service at around 3.55am today. Inquiries continue.
