HEALTH and social care students at Halesowen College are making bracelets to raise funds for Libby Mae’s Little Angels.

Bracelets are being sold at £1 each around college for the charity set up in memory of a baby girl who lost her fight for life.

Libby Mae Sharratt was two weeks old when she died from a heart condition at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Her parents Charlotte and Richard Sharratt, from Bromsgrove, started the charity to raise money for neo-natal units throughout the Midlands, which help premature newborns or those in need of intensive care.

Charlotte visited the students to share her story and explain the charity mission.

Rachael Bennett, Lecturer at Halesowen College, said: “It is wonderful that students are working so hard making bracelets and raising money for such a worthy cause.”
