A BLAZE that gutted a derelict pub in Lye was started deliberately.

Fire crews were called to The Bulls Head, Pedmore Road, at 3.05am on Sunday (August 2) after passers by saw smoke billowing out of the building.

The incident is being investigated as arson as several small fires were discovered in various locations of the two-storey building.

No-one was found inside the building.

Anyone with information should call Dudley police on 101.
