A TALENTED 10-year-old Oldbury girl has been named a runner up in a national writing competition after fighting off stiff competition from children across the region.
Roisin Williams won the accolade in the Explore Learning’s National Young Writers’ Award with her story The Bogie Po.
The youngster had to write a 500-word story with the theme fairy tales and fables, which was judged by award-winning illustrator and author of the Tom Gates series of books, Liz Pichon.
