St Peter’s Church in Cradley is bringing together local artists and crafters to exhibit and sell their artworks at a heritage day this weekend.

The arts and crafts exhibition, which includes a heritage trail, on Saturday will be followed by a concert by the Cradley Heath Male Voice Choir. Visitors will also get the chance to get creative themselves at the Painty pop-up art studio or by taking part in the Earth and Stone Sketch Walk led by Walk Works CIC.

Local historian Harry Bloomer will also be leading people on walks around the churchyard telling stories of the local people who are buried there especially those in the recently uncovered war graves and memorials.

Other activities include tours of the tower, children’s and youth craft activities and finding your ancestors in our local records.

Revd Sarah Brush says: “It is going to be a wonderful day celebrating our history and the creativity of local people. It’s a chance for everyone in the community, young and old, to get creative and find out more about themselves and the history of their community."

The day finishes with a concert from the Cradley Heath Male Voice Choir, entry £3.00, Refreshments available.
