POLICE raided a Halesowen industrial unit and discovered cannabis plants with a potential value of £300,000, a court heard.
Officers found 368 plants in the premises on the Belfont Trading Estate, Mucklow Hill, which had been leased to Michael Teji.
Howard Searle, prosecuting, told Wolverhampton Crown Court the 24-year-old from Dagenham, London, had paid a £2,000 deposit and was paying £700 a month rent.
He said the plants would have yielded cannabis with a street value of between £150,000 and £300,000.
Teji, of Cannington Road, who handed himself in to police a few hours after the raid, admitted producing cannabis and was jailed for 20 months.
