STOURBRIDGE artist Bernadette Owen is currently exhibiting an array of watercolour and oil paintings.
She has a total of 50 paintings on view, plus a number of greeting cards available for visitors to see.
Bernadette has previously exhibited her work at Perrots Folly in Edgbaston and the Bear Steps in Shrewsbury and art galleries in Walsall, Dudley and Wolverhampton.
She splits her time between painting and operating as a support worker with the homeless in Birmingham through Trident Reach.
Based at Hungary Hill, Bernadette said: “I was going past St Johns Church and thought it would make a wonderful venue for my paintings, so I got in touch with the vicar, Stuart Scott, and he agreed to host the exhibition.
“However we did have a problem, because the church is a listed building we couldn’t use any nails. We had to put boards all round the church.
“I sell a lot of work from exhibitions, but I haven’t exhibited for a while”.
The exhibit is open at St Johns Church every Saturday between 10am until noon.
